Nutrition, guided by activity

Eat for how you move.

nomo connects what you eat with what you actually did today. Your targets start from your body and goal, then adjust as Apple Health reports your real activity — so you always know where today stands.

For iPhone · Works with Apple Health and Apple Watch

Every day

Four questions, answered.

  1. What did I eat today?

  2. How much did I actually move?

  3. With my goal and today's activity, how much should I eat?

  4. What is still missing?

How it works

Planned in the morning. Calibrated by your day.

Most apps give you one number on day one and keep it forever. nomo starts each day from a plan, then corrects it with what really happened.

  1. Body

    Your baseline

Age, sex, height and weight set the energy and nutrients your body needs, whatever the goal.

  2. Goal

    Your direction

Maintain health, build muscle or lose fat. The goal sets a direction, not a fixed meal plan.

  3. Day type

    Your starting point

Choose Training or Rest in the morning, so today has sensible targets before you've moved.

  4. Real activity

    Your day, as it happened

Workouts, steps and active energy from Apple Health recalibrate today's targets as they come in.

For example

A 70-minute strength session synced from your Watch, so today's calorie and carb ranges went up. Protein is about 10 g short; fat is already in range.

Food logging

Tell nomo what you had.

Type it, say it or take a photo. nomo matches it to foods in a nutrition database and shows its working — you confirm every item before anything is logged.

  • Text, voice or photo“Two eggs and toast with butter” is enough to start.
  • Nutrition labelsPhotograph a label and nomo reads the figures for you to check.
  • Database first, not guessesFoods come from curated nutrition data, raw and cooked kept apart. Anything uncertain is flagged for you.
  • Recipes you reuseBuild your usual meals once, by real weight, and log them in a tap.

Activity

Your Watch already knows what you did.

nomo reads workouts, steps and active energy from Apple Health. Device data comes first; anything estimated is labelled as an estimate.

  • Workouts in detailHeart rate zones, pace, and the effort each session cost.
  • Body EnergyHow training, everyday movement and rest add up across the day.
  • Sleep and recoveryLast night's sleep, resting heart rate and HRV shape a morning Body Status.

And the everyday parts

Small things, done properly.

Hydration

A water target that accounts for your weight and the day's exercise.

Your own foods

Add a food once — by hand or from its label — and it's there next time, with sensible serving units.

Any day, any time

Go back through the week to see what you ate, how you moved and where each day landed.

Weekly insight

Intake, activity and recovery side by side, so patterns show up without digging.

Goals that fit

Maintain, build or lose — with targets you can review, and adjust per day type if you prefer.

Meals by the clock

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks fill in as you go, with a quick view of what each added.

What we believe

Clear, so you can live better.

A calm, trustworthy tool — not a coach shouting numbers. These rules shape every screen.

01

Ranges over single numbers

Your needs move within a range. Landing inside it counts — no chasing an exact 153 g.

02

Real data over guesses

Database foods, labels, weights and device data come first. Estimates are marked as estimates.

03

Explanations over scores

When a target changes, nomo tells you why — and what to do next.

04

Health first, then goals

Whatever the goal, a baseline of energy, protein and fat is protected. Goals are never pursued below it.

Privacy

Your health data stays yours.

nomo asks only for what it uses, and you can change Apple Health permissions at any time.

Questions

Good to know.

Is nomo a diet plan?

No. nomo doesn't hand out meal plans or banned-food lists. It shows what today calls for, based on your body, your goal and what you actually did, and lets you decide how to get there.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. Your iPhone counts steps and Apple Health records workouts. An Apple Watch adds heart rate, sleep and recovery data, which makes activity and Body Status more precise.

How accurate is photo logging?

A photo can show what's on the plate, but not exactly how much or how much oil went in. That's why nomo matches foods to a nutrition database, shows its estimate, and asks you to confirm or adjust amounts. For meals you eat often, a recipe built once by weight is the most accurate option.

Why do my targets change during the day?

Your morning targets come from your goal and whether you planned to train. As Apple Health reports real activity, nomo recalibrates — a long run raises energy and carbs; a planned session that didn't happen doesn't count as done.

Is nomo medical advice?

No. nomo offers general nutrition and fitness guidance for healthy adults. It isn't a substitute for a doctor or registered dietitian, and it isn't designed for pregnancy, children or managing medical conditions.
